The Way of Alchemical Beauty is a 12 day retreat (November 2 – 13, 2025) hosted in the Andean Mountains of Ecuador within a 8-week program of holistic support. This is a safe and highly curated sacred plant medicine retreat, with a strong emphasis on integration, inner alchemy practices, detox, creativity, community and connection with nature. This immersion is a sacred invitation of remembrance and healing.
Casa del Sol Retreat Center will host us in the mystical valley of Vilcabamba, located in the South of Ecuador, and also known as the Valley of Longevity for the purity of its waters and climate of eternal spring. The sanctuary sits at the entrance to Podocarpus National Park, where the Andes mountains embrace the Amazon rainforest and one of the most wild and magical portals of Mother Earth.
Through the alchemical union of plant medicine ceremonies, ancestral rituals, and holistic healing practices guided by expert and experienced medicine wisdom guardians and facilitators, you will embark on a deep journey of personal awakening. You will not only experience profound inner healing but will begin to embody a new way of being, aligned with beauty, purpose, and truth.
We are living in a time of a great turning, an era marked by uncertainty, collapse, and awakening. Amidst the global crises we face, there is also an invitation: to remember what truly matters, to reconnect with the sacred within and around us, and to participate in the healing of our hearts, our spirits, and the Earth itself, and to offer it back to Life.
As we illuminate our inner world, we illuminate the collective.
“As within, so without.”
Your healing, your awakening, is not only personal, it is a luminous offering to your family, to your community, to humanity, to all sentient beings, to Life itself. It is a quiet yet powerful act of service to the greater unfolding of human and planetary transformation.
We stand at the threshold of a new era, a time when ancient wisdom and future vision meet. This is an opportunity to step into the highest alchemy: weaving the golden threads of ancestral teachings with the silver strands of personal revelation to co-create a more beautiful, conscious, and regenerative world.

12 day
Visionary Retreat
in the Andean Mountains
of Ecuador, hosted by the
Casa del Sol (House of the Sun) Wellness Sanctuary
(Nov 14th - Dec 7th)
Post-retreat integration program with psychotherapeutic accompaniment, mentorship support & guidance in 1:1 and group sessions - including indigenous wisdom keepers and elders of lineage.
Our journey is structured around foundational pillars sourced from ancient spiritual lineages and ancestral wisdom. The entire program is elegantly designed for the wellbeing of your body, mind, heart, and soul and to evoke a safe, lasting, and powerful transformation of your life.
Deep work with master plants (San Pedro and Ayahuasca), held in ceremonial spaces with deep integrity and respect for the lineages they come from, and led by expert healers with decades of experience. For thousands of years these sacred medicines have guided and healed humans, and the immense healing benefits of these teacher plant allies of the Americas have been scientifically proven. We will embark on these healing ceremonies with deep respect and care.
Guided by traditional wisdom keepers and rituals rooted in the Andes, the ceremonies will support a more intimate communion with our hearts, nature, and life itself. We will experience limpias (energetic cleansing practices done by an indigeneous Andean Yachak - healer), Pachamanka (earth pot ritual), Temazcal (North American traditional sweat lodge ceremony), and Despachos (offerings to the Earth and mountain spirits to bring health, abundance, and harmonious relationships in the Peruvian Q'ero lineage).
A strong emphasis on preparation and integration during an 8 week container: group circles, one-on-one sessions, somatic practices, art therapy, guided journaling, and emotional support to navigate your transformation led by the founders of Evolutionary Journeys - Munay and Brian. Engage in insightful group lectures on spiritual traditions and practices.
Our home will be Casa del Sol retreat center in the Andes mountains of southern Ecuador, a sanctuary of Life cared for over decades as a portal of healing and nature connection, a place to rewild with nature in the comfort of a loving family home and by the banks of the Uchima River which flows through the property.
Honor your sacred temple via daily movement (yoga, Qi Gong, intuitive dance, sound healing), body therapies, energetic practices, flower baths, and creative expression as tools for grounding and transformation.
Join a small, intimate community of voyagers (13 participants max), co-creating a field of trust, vulnerability, and shared growth centered on a powerful bonding experience. From the first day of preparation to the final closing call, the entire container is designed to create life-long friendships and to bind the evolution of the individual with the collective.
Alkaline practices and diet, high quality nutrition that includes home-made super foods of the Andes and exotic fruits and local organic products. Daily hydration from the medicinal spring waters of Podocarpus National Park that flow directly into to the retreat center.
Before, during and after the retreat, engage in dedicated Integration Groups to share experiences and gain insights and a 1:1 Integration Session. Receive additional support (unlimited voice/text/email) from a psychotherapist and spiritual guide (Munay) trained and certified in Trauma-Informed Plant Medicine Facilitation, as well as a Holistic Life Coach (Brian) who specializes in integrating ancestral wisdom with the lifestyles of the modern world.
May the beauty of your life become more visible to you, that you may glimpse your wild divinity.
-John O’Donohue
Imagine bathing in the pure water of Río Uchima, contemplating the beauty of nature while resting on a hammock in the foothills of Huaranga mountain, surrounded by flower gardens and the symphony of nature. This is a territory of immense biodiversity, land of centenarian San Pedro Cactus, sacred elder Wilca trees and orchestrated by the diverse fauna of Andean tropical birds.
Casa del Sol Retreat Center is nestled in the valley of Vilcbamba, a sacred ecosystem of pristine mountains, crystalline waters, and fertile soil, a natural portal for transformation. We will be hosted in this sacred territory of peace by Santiago Ayala and Ximena Morales, the founders and guardians of Casa del Sol, which has been their family home and medicine sanctuary for many years. They are the parents of four children and recently welcomed their first grandchild, and have supported the healing journeys of hundreds of guests in this family nest.

Honoring the fundamental connection alchemy has with the sacred elements – and their role as the fabric of all Life – we have designed this experience guided by the wisdom of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Akasha.
This program draws upon our 20 years of combined experience with spiritual retreats and plant medicine to create the most innovative, beautiful, and effective container we have ever shared with the public.
During the retreat, you are invited to listen to your inner wisdom and heart as guidance for your participation in the proposed activities: all are optional (except for the opening and closing circles).
As this retreat has a strong emphasis on integration and transformational alchemical practices, everyday we include in our calendar mindfulness practices, spiritual lectures, movement, and meditation. Our aim is that you learn these practices to take back home, as tools for well-being and balance in your life.
We assure you that the experiences proposed will activate your Inner Alchemist and awaken the most noble manifestation of your life’s potential.
We’ll arrive at Casa del Sol and open the sacred space with a cacao ceremony, planting our intentions and establishing community agreements. Together, we will co-create a vibrant communal altar as a living symbol of our journey and share guidance on awakening our inner artist. The day closes with meditation and alchemical practices to root this blessed process.
We start with inner alchemy practices and herbal salt baths from the Pacific Ocean to cleanse our energy. Andean teachings guide us into deeper connection, followed by a Pachamanka Ceremony, a traditional Andean feast. The Pachamanka, an earth-cooked meal, will invite us to reconnect with nature and the feminine through a nourishing celebration of Earth, food, and the new season that marks the true opening of our sacred container. This ceremony will be guided by Yachak Oscar Santillan, an indigenous wisdom keeper of lineage from the Otavalo Kichwa people of the Northern Andes of Ecuador.
This is a day of deep purification, starting with one of the medicines of the jungle, liquid tobacco, supported by pranayama breathwork. We then will have the blessing to receive individual cleansings of our energetic fields (limpias) in a traditional Andean ritual, supported by native medicinal herbs and led by Yachak Oscar Santillan and his wife.
At night, we enter sacred ceremony in communion with the Grandmother of the forest, Ayahuasca (named as Hayakwaska or Naren by indigenous elders of the Ecuadorian jungle), guided with care and reverence by Mira and Yana - experienced healers and exquisite medicine music carriers - who have trained and lived in the Amazon rainforest and been initiated by curanderos of lineage. This ceremony will open our hearts and awaken our vision for profound soul transformation.
We rest and integrate with a heartfelt sharing circle. In the afternoon, we make offerings to the Uchima river which flows through Casa del Sol and receive transmissions from Munay and Ximena on how to commune with the spirits of nature. We attune ourselves to the subtle realms of water, visionary imagination, and the power of gratitude.
We begin the day with morning wellness practices to purify our energetic field, and then embark upon a Medicine Hike in sacred communion with a master plant native to the Andes and the valley of Vilcabamba: Huachuma/San Pedro cactus. During the hike, we take part in a powerful Despacho Ceremony (traditional Andean offering), also led by Ximena and Santiago, elders of the Andean wisdom mysticism and guardians of Casa del Sol. This is a special opportunity to share the deepest prayers you carry for your life and relationships and call upon the support of Spirit and Mother Earth.
The gift of this day is embodied connection with the land, spirit, and each other through the medicine of nature, movement, song, and expanded awareness, all guided by ancient Andean wisdom.
We start the morning with meditation practices and a gentle Hapé ceremony, honoring this plant ally from the Amazon rainforest for purification and alchemical support. We gather in a sharing circle, tuning into the light of the medicine in our hearts, and engage in expressive arts therapy led by Munay. We close the day together in sacred unity around the fire, sharing ancestral stories, a communal meal (Pambamesa), and the warmth of celebration by honoring abundance and togetherness.
This day is devoted to contemplation, beauty, silence and fasting. We will commune with the sacred guidance of Niños de Luz (psilocybe mushrooms on a microdose) to move gently through the devotional practice of Dances of Universal Peace, lovingly led by Munay - medicine human, spiritual guide, and certified psilocybin assisted psychotherapist. During the day you will have access to flower baths, and ample time for reflection. We open to the subtle mystery of the soul, the quiet depth of being and the medicine of devotion, song and meditation.
Through playful mindfulness, and integrative group dynamics, we deepen our understanding of the inner journey and how it reflects into the collective and our daily life. This is a day of insight and embodied awareness where we will also learn about the oracular medicine of coca leaves from Ximena, and the relationship between indigenous Andean wisdom and this sacred plant spirit.
We surrender to the sacred through Somatic Dance and loving rest. As night falls, we enter a second Huachuma/San Pedro Ceremony, communing with the mystery, the stars, and the essence of oneness. This ceremony will be guided by Santiago Ayala and Ximena Morales, a holy couple of medicine carriers and wisdom keepers of the Andes, supported by the Casa del Sol community and the sacred frequency chants of Munay’s healing voice.
After our night ceremony with elder Huachuma, we welcome the new day with a sunrise Phoenix Temazcal, a powerful traditional sweat lodge of rebirth, and followed by an exquisite communal baptism in the pure waters of Rio Uchima. The day continues with love baths (flowers & botanical essences), rest, and an evening integration circle to begin anchoring the revelations into a path forward.
During the day, we harvest the golden seeds of our journey through creative practices, botanical frequencies, delicious food, and embodied joy.
In the evening, we celebrate our shared transformation with dance, music, cacao, & prayer, all centered around a sacred fire and under the ethereal light of the moon and stars. We will deeply synchronize with the expanding frequency of gratitude and honor our courageous hearts, acknowledging the blessings received through this vessel and our sacred hero's journey
We say goodbye with movement, sunrise tea, photos, and a closing circle from the heart. The retreat container reaches completion, but the journey continues woven into your daily life. The real ceremony begins here and you are warmly invited to stay a few days or as long as you desire in the vibrant alternative community of Vilcabamba.

From our humble beginnings, Evolutionary Journeys has made a steadfast commitment to honor the Andean principle of Ayni – sacred reciprocity and heart-felt generosity.
When joining the Evolutionary Journey’s community as a voyager, you also become an integral part of our mission of sacred activism. You will support an organization that has assisted multiple families and indigenous lineages, founded scholarships for the healing and growth of activists and conscious leaders around the world, and generously donated to the protection of our sacred Mother Earth – home of humanity in a process of divine remembrance.
Through its Founders, we have donated over $45,000 to support the regeneration of Life on Earth. One of primary recipients has been Pachamama Alliance and the Alliance for the Sacred Headwaters, a visionary prayer of renewal and rebirth led by 30 indigenous nations of Ecuador and Peru who serve as guardians of the Northwest Amazonian rainforest – the most bio-diverse ecosystem in the entire world.
For this journey, we are excited to pilot a new way of giving, inviting our voyagers to nominate their favorite philanthropic organizations and together, via a democratic and communal process, choosing the recipient. 5% of all profits from The Way of Alchemical Beauty will be donated by Evolutionary Journeys and voyagers will be invited to supplement this gift with any additional funds that they would like to share.
We have experienced first hand the infinite blessings that flow into our lives when we give back, and we believe that this is the most noble pathway to ensure a safe, beautiful, and life-changing pilgrimage.

She has lived in nature since the age of 21, next to rivers and mountains which feel like family for her in the Sacred Valley of the Longevity, Vilcabamba. Here she welcomed her children into the warmth of her home. Becoming a mother of four was her most sacred spiritual INITIATION, both challenging and sublime.

Yana Bartova, known as Tatzimoi (“the bird that accompanies families with its song”), is a healer and teacher rooted in ancient traditions. Originally from the Czech Republic, she spent 10 years in Mexico studying medicine, temazcales, moon dances, and sacred singing. After a transformative experience with Ayahuasca, she moved to South America to deepen her connection with the plant, working alongside her husband, Mira Jempe, to guide healing and ceremonies worldwide.
In the Vilcabamba Valley, Yana founded the Agua Women’s Collective, a space for women to explore ancestral medicines, art, and singing. She lives with her family in the mountains, nurturing a sanctuary dedicated to the sacred mother, and is deeply grateful for the life and wisdom she shares.
Mira Jempe, born in the Czech Republic, faced debilitating body pain from a young age, ultimately diagnosed with “incurable” rheumatoid arthritis. Determined to find healing, Mira journeyed to Spain, where he discovered the power of movement and meditation with his teacher, John, a Chen-style Tai Chi master. These practices, combined with his creative expression through painting, helped him release physical and emotional blockages.
Mira’s path then led him to the Amazon, where he studied under Shuar healer Miguel Shiriap and other jungle healers, learning the transformative power of Sacred Master Plants. Over three years, Mira fully healed his body, overcoming the pain that had plagued him for years. Since 2010, Mira has been leading healing ceremonies worldwide, alongside his wife, Yana.
The name Jempe, meaning “Hummingbird,” was given to him by his teacher, symbolizing infinite energy, creativity, and a joyful spirit.
